There are 5 main terrestrial television station in London. They are BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5. All have news programs and general entertainment programming in English. The BBC channels don't have any adverts.

There are also hundreds of satellite TV channels available, mostly in English. The main satellite operator is Sky. Some of their channels like Sky News is widely available in hotels. CNN, FOX News, etc, are also available via Satellite.

Cable networks provide mainly satellite type stations, without the dish of course.

There are also radio stations a plenty on FM, AM, DAB, LW, SW, and even via Satellite. The main national stations are BBC Radio 1 (pop music), BBC Radio 2 (middle of the road music), BBC Radio 3 (Classical/Opera), BBC Radio 4 (News, Documentaries, Stories), BBC Radio 5 Live (News, Sport), Classical FM (Classical music), TalkSport (Sport).

There are also a whole host of local, regional, national, and international newspapers available in London. London main regional newspaper is the Evening Standard.
